This temple has an enriched history. It was in the year 1756, where the origin of this idol was found. In Warora, during some proceedings of farming activities, it was found. The main idol of Gruhlaxami Ambabai is made of Shaligram. The replica of an idol was installed in the year 2015, it was Chaitra Suddha Ashtami, Friday, at Nagpur. Also, the idol is Kul devta of the Khot Family. Today, the 13th generation of the Khot Family adorns the deity in the same way with all the rituals as their ancestors used to it.

This temple has also the abode of gods like Mahabali Hanuman, Shri Gruheshwara(Shiva), Shri Prachand Kaali, Shri Kaal Bhairava, Shri Mangal Chandi Devi, Shri Shani Deva.
